In all the fields of research we study here one thing has popped up continuously in multiple fields. The shadow people. Whether it is hauntings, ancient history, angels and demons, fairy folklore. Everything seems to involve these beings somehow. There are few entities that have permeated so much of the paranormal.
But who or what are they? What do they want?
Ever awoken late at night, at first everything seems normal, then you realize you can not move. Then as panic starts to set in, something catches your eye. In the corner of the room something moves, almost imperceptible at first but it comes into focus. A humanoid shape, a figure darker than the dark surrounding it. It does not move only stands silently in the corner. there are no visible eyes, but you know it sees you.
this is something that hundreds if not thousands of people witness on a more regular basis than one would think. Sleep paralysis as it is commonly called is one of the few times people seem to see these beings. others witness them in dreams. Sometimes they manifest when people are wide awake, though this is a rarer case. No one is certain what these beings are or why we can not see them at all times.
Though research is relatively limited on them. there are archives, even a website, dedicated for people to tell their stories of encounters with the shadow beings. Through concerned contacts we have received emails asking for assistance. Some people email, concerned about them or their families being cursed only to mention seeing a shadow person most of their lives.
Shadow beings are mentioned in black magic as well. As before, people have claimed to be able to summon them, and bind them to a curse or a goal. it is possible that these beings are mistaken for demons as well during these rituals. For hundreds of years they could have been mistaken for this and much more. Everything so far points to these beings malicious and evil.
However, some researchers propose that they are simply like humans. There are good and bad. Some do not bother us, while some want to harm us in multiple ways. there is one type of these beings that is well known for its distaste and hate for humankind. the Hat-man. He is the most well known of the shadow people.
the Hat-man, has been reported to attack, hinder, or attempt to persuade some to harm themselves or family. These beings seem to only want destruction of human kind.
One contact we received here tells of a woman, and if anyone has heard the podcast The Ad 4, on our channel, then you may know the story. she reported being accosted by this entity for years. Seeing it mostly in dreams where it terrified and stalked her much like a Freddy krueger tale.
the attacks persisted and eventually she gained the nerve to fight back in one dream, even grabbing at his hat. She described the dream so vividly she thought shed be holding the hat once she jolted awake. After years of these attacks, through prayer, meditation, and other means she was able to keep the Hat-man at bay. This is just one person who had to deal with this being. As mentioned before there are pages and pages of stories like this and others dealing with these beings.
